Ibiza, Biodiversity and Culture
Ibiza, in Catalan Eivissa, is located in the Mediterranean Sea 80 km off the coast of Spain. Though consider a touristic site with a huge nightlife, it is hard to believe that large portions of the island are world heritage sites. Shunning the construction and development from the main cities. It’s beauty and secluded sites brings the creative people to the island for photo shoots and films. The prairies, dense and calm, of oceanic Posidonia(seagrass) is an important species found only in the Mediterranean which also looks after a diverse number of marine life throughout. Anytime other than the summer, you will find Ibiza to be very quiet and serene. The spoken languages here are mainly Spanish and Catalan however due to tourism expatriates have been flocking here from all parts of the world. Which brings other languages such as English, German and Russian, though these are not the norm.
